PENELOPE JONES, Mild Mannered Children's Detective
Character Introduction

Penelope Jones, Central Cityâ??s Mild Mannered Childrenâ??s Detective is a very hard working lady. She is not married but has a special love for children everywhere. She remembers all too well those times when she was a child growing up, that she had to face her problems alone. Her parents had died when she was in the first grade and her Aunt took her in but never seemed to have much time to train Penelope. From that time forward, all she learned about right from wrong was from her own personal experiences and a little Bible that her mother had left her. Children who hire her to help them pay her with their weekâ??s allowance, candy or toys. She inherited quiet a lot of money as a young adult when her Aunt passed away.

She decided that she never needed to work as most people did to earn money so she would spend the rest of her life assisting children in their time of need.Pennelopeâ??s appearance is quite odd beginning with her round face and diamond shaped eyes and nose. She wears her hair short, but in tiny dark brown ringlets all over her head. Her trench coat is a dark blue with red trim around the front, pockets and cuffs. Her slacks under the coat match all the way to her black flat boots. She has a red and white checked hat with a little blue flower on her head that matches her scarf around her neck. Penelope is a very neat person who loves to wear white gloves so she can check to see if there is any unwanted dirt around her wherever she goes. Needless to say, she has to carry many pairs of white gloves with her at times.Penelope Jones is only 5â??5" until she does something that no other detective can do. She can actually change her height from 5â??5â??â?? to 6 inches high just by thinking herself to be whatever size she chooses. She can even think herself to be taller if the occasion requires her to be that way. One of the reasons that her Aunt never had time to train her while Penelope was small was because her Aunt invented a special vitamin to make a change in size at the mere thought of doing so.

Her Aunt was a very busy lady and as Penelope grew older, she then understood why she was so alone as a child. Penelope always tends to think that there are reasons that things happen in life and for many of them, we should all be grateful. This vitamin was never introduced to other people because her Aunt felt that it would not be safe if children ever used them. Since that time that her Aunt gave her the vitamins and the list of ingredients, Penelope has put them in a safe place that no one will ever know about.

The other ability that the vitamins gives her is the power to think herself to be in another location in a split second, and there is where she appears at the astonishment of others who happen to see her do this. Penelopeâ??s love for children is so strong that she always makes time to be there for any child who calls on her and she will teach them right from wrong as she sees that it is needed. You too will love Penelope Jones as you invite her into your home and into your childâ??s imagination. You will find, along with your child that she is most assuredly "One Of A Kind".
