Thus begins the charming tale of an uncanny chain of events in The Turtle Saver. The lyrical rhymes are a joy to read, and people of all ages will be amused by the fun situations that arise, as in this excerpt, which describes how a man's case of poison oak leads to good things:

His itching got worse, and he couldn't ignore it.
He went to a drugstore to get something for itā??
A small, friendly drugstore on Meadowbrook Drive.
And that's where it happened. Right there on aisle five.
By calamine lotions and cortisone creams,
The nice, itchy man met the girl of his dreams!

Readers young and old will enjoy following this account of the far-raching effects of one good deedā??all the way to the surprising and heartwarming end!
