About the Author
Lynn Curlee was educated as an art historian and worked as a fine artist for many years before he began to make children's books. His other books include Brooklyn Bridge, winner of a Robert F. Sibert Honor Award; Liberty; Ships of the Air; Into the Ice: The Story of Arctic Exploration; Rushmore; and, most recently, Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. He lives on the North Fork of Long Island, New York.
